A global club of corporations pledged to move to 100% renewable energy welcomed its latest member this week.
The Crown Estate controls the seabed around England, Wales and Northern Ireland and has signed up for the RE100 initiative – led by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP. There are now 134 corporates committed to RE100.
If follows a new report released yesterday by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) revealing big business sourced an amount of clean power in 2017 that could the meet the entire power needs of France.
