Time to enter the EU Prize for Women Innovators

This year’s EU Prize for Women Innovators is now open for applications. Launched this week by the European Innovation Council (EIC), the ninth edition of the annual Prize will award €100,000 to each of the top three women innovators selected by an independent expert jury, who will also pick three ‘Rising Innovators’ under the age of 35 to receive €50,000 each.

The EU Prize for Women Innovators is open to EU residents, and women innovators in ‘Associated Countries, including Ukraine’.

Maria Fátima Lucas, co-founder and CEO of biotech startup, Zymvol, was a winner in 2020 and she wrote about the experience for Innovators Magazine.

“For me, the Women Innovators award is a huge incentive to follow my path. It has shown me that when we really want something, with ideas, motivation and work, everything is possible,” she said.

Maria and those that follow in her footsteps this year are not only notable for the work they do, they are also important figures when it comes to inspiring the next generation of female innovators to shift paradigms in their pursuit of a better world.

The deadline for 2022 applications is 18 August 2022 at 17:00 (CET).
