The countdown is on to World Oceans Day 2020 which kicks off on 8 June. There are hundreds of online events you can join, and if you’re busy planning one, add it to the list.

Youthathon

On World Oceans Day Weekend, 6 and 7 June, a 24-hour live stream #Youthathon is being held. It will bring together a digital community young people can connect with to discover more about the actions being taken to save our blue planet and the ways they can participate in the global movement – sign up

“For 2020, World Oceans Day is uniting conservation action to grow the global movement calling on world leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030. This critical need is called 30×30. By safeguarding at least 30% of our ocean through a network of highly protected areas we can help ensure a healthy home for all,” the World Oceans Day website states.
