Live demonstrations of the latest innovations in clean energy will be on show at a major industry event in Amsterdam this October.
The new segment is part of the Business Booster (TBB) event hosted by InnoEnergy – the ‘European innovation engine for sustainable energy’. TBB attracts stakeholders from across the renewable energy ecosystem, including startups, big corporates, SMEs, public sector decision-makers and investors.
Diego Pavia, CEO at InnoEnergy, said: “The clean energy revolution is happening in Europe, but not fast enough. To meet our ambitious goals and help halt climate change, we need to move faster – we need to fast-track clean energy innovation. TBB is the event that makes that happen.
“Not only does TBB bring together more clean energy innovators than any other event, it provides the industry players, investors and public-sector institutions, with a direct access to breakthrough technologies and new business models. The event is a place where transactions and partnerships happen so that clean energy innovations get off the ground to make a material difference as rapidly as possible.”
The 2016 instalment – held in Barcelona – welcomed 690 participants from 32 countries.
“When we asked last year’s attendees for feedback, we were delighted to find that 98 per cent would recommend TBB to their contacts. But we’re confident that the value goes even further than the event itself,” said Elena Bou, Innovation Director at InnoEnergy.
“There’s no point in accelerating through the start-up stage then cutting support. So we continue supporting our partners’ innovations throughout their lifecycle and most crucially helping them on their way to commercialisation. It’s through this ongoing backing of successful pitches – with business advice and mentorship in addition to investment – that TBB proves the true catalyst for change in Europe’s sustainable energy industry.”
TBB 2017 will take place in RAI Amsterdam on 25-26 October 2017.
