Vote for the most promising innovations

|26 February 2017|

The Bringing tech&science closer to people campaign is a new worldwide initiative aimed at harnessing innovation to accelerate change.

Supported by UNESCO, it has attracted 70 international organizations who are united in their desire to progress world-changing initiatives.

Irina Bokova, the General Director of UNESCO explained the project “aims to build worldwide awareness and recognition on the latest breakthroughs in science and technology. This campaign also will help to showcase science and technology innovations as a main lever for progress and sustainable development, and will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, experiences and the sharing of best practices in science.”

The most innovative concepts and technologies are showcased on the project’s website. Collision-tolerant flying robots, Zika diagnostics from a single drop of blood, deep learning in cyber security, are just a few of the innovations popularized in the campaign.

The problem and proposed solution linked to each innovation is detailed. And until the end of February online voting is open in each category.

“We are open for everyone interested in innovation – let’s accelerate change for better, together,” added Marek Kotelnicki, the President of CIKT Foundation, which co-organizes the campaign.
