Scotland’s world-class universities drive innovation and are experienced in the commercialisation of research and technology. Scottish innovation is highly regarded – what is less well known is that there is a wide range of technology opportunities residing within its academic institutions that are available to businesses around the globe for commercial exploitation.

With each university sharing the common goal of seeking industry partners for licensing and collaborative development they came together to identify how they could make it easier for companies and industry to find these opportunities and connect directly into the  universities. In response to this challenge University Technology was established in 2004.
