A transport revolution which will transform lifestyles worldwide
The Hyperloop One System propels people and things through a levitated pod travelling in a low-pressure tube. This isn’t a scene from a science fiction movie, it is the future of transport.
A vision born two years ago in a Los Angeles garage has grown into a team of 200 pioneers – engineers, welders, machinists, designers and builders – who are developing a system that can move people hundreds of miles in a matter of minutes.
Labelled as the next mode of transportation, it can travel at speeds in excess of 700mph making a journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco just 30 minutes.
The Hyperloop One website states: “We use a custom electric motor to accelerate and decelerate a levitated pod through a low-pressure tube. The vehicle will glide silently for miles with no turbulance.
“We’re developing routes in five countries. The goal is to be moving cargo by 2020 and passengers by 2021.”
