Japan is rightly recognised as one of the world’s most innovative nations. To further build on its reputation and impact, a new Tokyo-based global startup ecosystem is launching that will combine the country’s corporate strength with ideas being pioneered by early stage companies worldwide.
The goal of the ecosystem is to develop game changing solutions to social challenges. It is being led by a collaboration between Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), Japan Business Federation (KEIDANREN), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Project Nippon Co., Ltd. In signing the Tokyo Global Startup Ecosystem Partnership Agreement today, these four plan to take forward initiatives that will bring together Japanese companies and overseas startups to deliver Society 5.0.
