Labelled the “walking, talking, amazingly expressive robot who is your friend and science tutor” the exciting new Einstein robot is likely to be a big hit with students.

The innovative educational consumer robot – developed by Hanson Robotics – is currently on kickstarter and available for under $300.

Andy Rifkin, CTO at Hanson Robotics, said: “One thing that is behind everything we have done with Einstein is edutainment: education and entertainment put into one. When he teaches, he teaches everything with science fact, in a way that is digestible and very easy to understand.”

The pint-sized Einstein robot harnesses cloud connectivity and amazing software, all deisgned to stimulate ‘your interest and curiosity for science’.

The Stein-O-Matic app is the user’s guidebook and control system for directly engaging content. Using the app, you have access to new activities added to the Stein-O-Matic every day. In addition, Professor Einstein’s robust reward system allows you to earn IQ points, which you can use to unlock special items, bonus games and avatar upgrades.

Place an iPad or Android tablet next to Professor Einstein and watch as he guides you through interactive lessons, eye-popping slideshows, daily mental kick starts, thought experiments, jokes, brain games and more.

CEO David Hanson added: “We bring robots to life as animated characters with facial expressions, physical moving gestures, conversational intercation. They can look at you and be your friend. That is our goal. Professor Einstein is just the start.”
