A Berlin restaurant is growing its own vegetables in a vertical farm situated inside the premises.
The appropriately named Good Bank says the “future of food is [its] mission” and the vertical farm to table restaurant is serving customers fresh vegetables made without pesticides, that have zero carbon miles on the clock.
With a growing global population, technologies like this help produce food sustainably and with no need for arable land. And vertical farming is on the rise, it is estimated the market will be worth more than $6 billion by 2022.
