It is deadline day for circular economy pioneers to pitch their solutions for creating a more sustainable London fashion industry.
The Climate-KIC Circular Fashion Challenge will award two businesses with €10,000 each to take forward their ideas. And there are two challenges, with entrants encouraged to apply for both. One is called the London Fashion Loop, and wants innovations that can advance closed loop systems. Focussed Interventions is the other, and it is seeking tech products that can accelerate the adoption of circular practices.
“The City Challenge and East London Fashion Cluster partners are looking to support two business ideas or products that have potential to transform London’s fashion industry and make it more sustainable. The Challenge will award €10,000 each to two winning submissions that demonstrate innovative approaches to creating a more circular economy.”
Ten will be selected to attend a bootcamp in London later this month ahead of a final pitch to judges on 6 December, where the two winners will be chosen.
The City Challenge invites London’s big thinkers, start-ups, SMEs and researchers to answer one, or both, of the challenges below through the development of new fashion technologies:
SME’s, startups, researchers, and all other eligible applicants, need to submit a two-minute video pitch by 11.59pm today to jason.louisgouveia@climate-kic.org – as well as complete a short application form.
