Combining humanity and innovation, the Immigration Policy Lab – led by Stanford University and ETH Zürich – harnesses frontier technologies to match people and places, so placements are a good fit for refugees. Algorithms used to suggest locations that offer refugees the best employment and life opportunities help make integration and personal growth far easier.
One thing we can all do today though, is commit to #StepWithRefugees – an initiative spearheaded by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and join a global movement of active citizens walking, jogging or running one billion miles collectively in 12 months: ‘the same number of miles refugees worldwide travel each year to reach the nearest point of safety‘.
