Startups urged to ‘change the world’

The brightest startups are being asked to take up the HealthTech innovation challenge and help solve some of the world’s biggest medical problems.

The Accenture HealthTech Innovation Challenge is a global platform that is looking for startups with the technological and creative solutions to improve healthcare and patient care. Selected startups will pitch to leaders of major international health and life sciences companies in a bid to bring their innovations to market.

“Our global innovation program brings together startups and top tier life sciences companies and healthcare providers to tackle some of the world’s key digital challenges, providing the components needed for meaningful transformation through curiosity, co-creation and collaboration. Engagement last year was overwhelmingly positive and the success of the Accenture HealthTech Innovation Challenge is a testament to the role we play with our clients and in the industry at large as we help them rotate to the new,” explained Anne O’Riordan, senior managing director of Accenture Life Sciences and co-author of Healthcare Disrupted.

Regional heats will take place in October and November, in Singapore, London and Boston. The last stage of judging will be held at the StartUp Health Festival, San Francisco, health at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference on January 8, 2018.
