|4 September 2016|

Berlin

Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai has revealed his company is developing a robot which will assist humans in their daily lives.

He told the IFA Electronics showcase in Berlin that Sony is exploring new technologies in line with the company’s ‘last one inch’ mantra of connecting products with consumers and that robotics and AI were integral to this.

“I’m happy to report that we are working hard to create a robot for your home that is not only capable of assisting you with everyday needs but is really capable of forming an emotional connection with all of you,” he said to the Press Association in Berlin.
