Scotland is one of the leading renewable energy nations.
The ‘world’s first offshore floating wind farm’ will be located in the north east coast of Scotland. While another pioneering floating demonstration wind farm in the country is set to harness innovative technology designed to operate in deep water rather than just in the shallower waters.
And last month WWF Scotland revealed that wind power to the grid supplied enough energy for 100% of Scottish households for 11 days in May.
