Scotland will target key tourism markets through a new partnership with the world’s largest travel website.

The country’s national tourism organisation, VisitScotland, has teamed up with TripAdvisor in a collaboration deal which will showcase Scotland to millions of potential visitors.

Over the next four months VisitScotland will supply content for Scotland’s destination page, which the travel website believes will attract more views due to the improved copy.

This is part of a new marketing strategy by VisitScotland that will see it improve its website, mobile capability and other key digital projects.

Tourism minister Fergus Ewing said: “This partnership will raise Scotland’s profile and help market all that Scotland has to offer to millions more people in the years to come.”
