Leading manufacturer of collaborative robots (cobots) – Universal Robots (UR) is opening a new American hub.

Cobots are able to work safely alongside their human counterparts, and the UR company website believes that “collaborative robotic technology can be used to benefit all aspects of task-based businesses – no matter what their size.”

On its new base in Irvine, California, UR Sales Manager Craig Tomita said: “Our cobots are already deployed in a wide range of industries here in Southern California; from medical device manufacturers to machine shops. Having a local presence brings us closer to our end users and sales channel partners, enabling us to offer unmatched service and support.”
