Robocop is moving from big screen fiction to patrolling the streets as the newest member of the Dubai police force.
The first Robocop was inducted in the Dubai police force at this week’s Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC). And immediately became a magnet for selfie hunters.
Harnessing artificial intelligence and internet of things (IOT) technologies, the smart cop can interact with people, shake their hands and send live video feeds to central command centres. Robocop’s first assignment is to patrol the GISEC event but the robot will soon been hitting the streets and shopping malls to keep them save.
