Twenty startups from around the world will pitch their innovations for transforming global food systems to investors in San Francisco next month.
Rabobank’s FoodBytes! platform strives to match game-changing ideas generated by startups with the capital needed to scale their solutions. And the 20, from countries including Canada, Sweden, and France are split into two groups of ten. Those in the higher ranked group will be given a 3.5 minute pitch slot, while the other ten will get 1.5 minutes each.
“The innovations coming through FoodBytes! are inspiring and helping to solve real challenges in the food and ag industries. We’re pleased to support FoodBytes! and its family of entrepreneurs, who like ADM, share an unbridled passion and commitment to develop groundbreaking new ingredients, technologies and products to serve the growing consumer demand for a greater purpose,” said Stephanie Edgecombe, global brand manager, food marketing, at ADM, which supports the initiative.
Fruit picking robots and a ‘micro-restaurant’ are just two of the innovations investors and attendees to FoodBytes! will find out more about. Tickets are on sale now for the March 1 instalment at The Village. Visit the platform’s website for information on FoodBytes! Montreal and New York.
