The boma Momentum event in Paris last week called on humanity to embrace a quick reboot to rediscover the natural power of cooperation. Labelled an evening of change-making, it welcomed some of the most inspiring voices advocating for a new age of humanity, one where the tools of innovation align with action and behavioural change to push the planet and its inhabitants towards a brighter, sustainable future.
While smart solutions pointing us in that direction are being developed daily, our working parts: citizens, businesses, policymakers, academics – and more – must engage with them, or lose the chance to secure that future. The messages shared on the stage in Paris on the mindsets and steps that can get us there were being watched and listened to online by hundreds of viewing parties worldwide. Digitally we are connected like never before, translating this into a strong human connection that transcends imaginary borders is now the challenge. It’s something we can all make happen, individually and collectively.
Marc Buckley was one of 15 who spoke at the event in the French capital, which was backed by Emmanuel Macron. His words below sum up it up. This is down to us, the choices we make. And it is not too late, we can still overcome the challenges.
