Raise a glass to healthy wine

Europe is home to some of the world’s most celebrated wine regions.

Now a project funded by the European Union (EU) is helping to make the popular tipple healthier and more sustainable. Bravo to the EU we say.

Researchers involved in the YeSViTE project are pioneering strains of yeast that can help winemakers reduce levels of ‘potentially harmful sulphite preservatives’ and create new wines in the process.

And as it is Friday, when many are enjoying or planning to enjoy a wine, it seems the right time to give a shout out to the innovators making it healthy for us all.

To find out more click on the tweet below – we’re off to drink some wine.
