Porsche is launching a new digital lab in Berlin to test and incorporate the latest information technology innovations.

The team at the Porsche Digital Lab is tasked with identifying how the car manufacturer can best incorporate leading innovations in big data, the internet of things and cloud technologies in a practical way. Its remit ranges from identifying trends to building IT prototypes and components.

“The Porsche Digital Lab gives us the opportunity to experiment with new technologies and to put IT innovations into practice with speed and flexibility”, says Dr Sven Lorenz, Vice President of Porsche Information Systems.

The lab will be a hub for Porsche to collaborate with technology companies, start-ups and the scientific community.
