Oceans vital to energy future

Today is all about WorldOceansDay – and energy is one of the many things we rely on them for.

We regularly feature the innovations being developed to harness the power of the sea, like the Japan team pioneering nature-inspired turbines that have blades like dolphin fins. While in Europe, where the Dutch are developing ‘Solar-at-Sea’, ocean power is expected to provide 10% of the continent’s energy needs by 2050.
