NYC seeks sustainable food ideas

(NEW YORK)

A bank servicing the global food and agribusiness industry is taking its popular pitch competition designed to advance the development of sustainable food solutions to New York.

Rabobank‘s FoodBytes! on 15 June will bring together foodtech and agritech startups from around the world in a space where they can connect with the money and mentors that can transform their fortunes.

“Unlike other pitch competitions, FoodBytes! creates a complete innovation ecosystem by bringing together sustainably-driven startups, investors and industry leaders championing a better future. New York City’s longstanding history as an epicenter of entrepreneurial spirit makes it an ideal location to celebrate and advance positive change in the food and agriculture value chain,” said Manuel Gonzalez, Rabobank North America Head of Startup Innovation.

International startups who think they have the potential to make a social impact in a sustainable way through their innovations should check out the application criteria and apply by 23 April at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The event will be held in NYC at SECOND Floor, a premier spot located inside the Hotel Eventi, in Manhattan’s NoMad neighbourhood.
