The deadline for nominating your #RecyclingHeroes – a new competition running in parallel with this month’s Global Recycling Day – is 8 March. Citizens, corporations and communities can all be put forward for a chance of winning $1,000 to invest their initiative. Ten winners will be selected from every corner of the world.
“We want to celebrate the world’s unsung #RecyclingHeroes, from children, schools, teachers and professionals to businesses and communities, and everyone in-between,” said Ranjit S Baxi, Founder and President of the Global Recycling Foundation. “Ten winners from across the globe will receive a $1,000 prize to contribute to their recycling initiative, and the Foundation will promote their work to audiences across the world. They will be announced on Global Recycling Day itself – 18th March 2020.”
