New episodes of the Inside Ideas podcast available now

Humanity’s metamorphosis from villain to worthy steward of the planet may still be in its embryonic stages but the germination process is taking shape.

Light is piercing the heavy fog of the Anthropocene, an outline of something better is crystallising. Once opaque, invisible concepts and ideals: the circular economy, the Symbiocene, collective consciousness, now moving to the centre of the human experience, freeing humanity from the grip of its Anthropocenic nightmare.

In Season 5 of the Inside Ideas podcast, the architects of these transformations join me to give form to this new world we can now reach out and touch.

My latest guest, the Australian philosopher, Dr Glenn A. Albrecht, said: “Life doesn’t have to be a continuation of the despotic Anthropocene.” Instead the Symbiocene, a future state where humans are re-integrated with the rest of nature, can replace it, can reignite our love of life. Albrecht gives amazing examples of where you can see it in today’s economy and challenges innovators of all colours to use it in creating a better future.

Thomas Rödding, CEO of Narravero, joined me on episode 3 of the new season to talk about a technology that’s opening the door to a world “where it’s going to be much easier for everyone to live a circular economy”.

In the season’s openers, Emanuel Kuntzelman, president of Fundación por el Futuro in Madrid, took us inside the Holomovement, a new way of thinking and being inspired by the idea that the universe is an interconnected whole. While Tammy Michelle Scarlett, executive director of UNIFY, beautifully enunciated the “opportunity that exists for humanity to drive change from the inside out” – adding some investing 101 insight along the way on growing social and environmental profits.

What a start to Season 5. Thanks to all of you for listening and watching. You can catch up with all new episodes of Season 5, and watch previous shows, on YouTube, listen wherever you get your podcasts, and follow Inside Ideas on Instagram and Facebook.
