MIT is hosting a 48-hour beat the pandemic virtual hackathon challenge starting this Friday. The online innovation event will focus on accelerating solutions that can protect vulnerable populations and support the health system. Teams of five to six will be formed at the beginning of the hackathon, which will be coordinated via platforms including Zoom, Slack and Google Drive, to ‘develop solutions that address the most pressing technical, social, and financial issues caused by the COVID-19 outbreak’. The challenge takes place from Friday 3 April to 5 April. Apply to participate.
