The United Nations Climate Change secretariat initiative asks businesses to cut their greenhouse gas emissions by measuring, reducing, and offsetting unavoidable emissions. Offsetting can be done by purchasing UN-Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) – which fund projects in developing countries, like solar and wind farms.
