Keep plastics off the menu

(MALTA)

The ‘Our Ocean, An Ocean for Life‘ conference is underway in Malta as world leaders gather to take forward plans to save the seas from devastation.

A worrying prediction, which has been highlighted many times on these pages is that, according to one report, there could be more plastic waste in the sea than fish by 2050 – if action isn’t taken now.

The 10 million tons of litter being dumped in the sea annually is – of course – unsustainable. Governments are taking steps to reverse the situation.
