Straight talking climate activist Greta Thunberg is calling on all of us to join her tomorrow.
The young Swede stood outside the Swedish Parliament in August with the sign: Skolstrejk för klimatet (school strike for the climate) to demand political leaders take action to enact policies which can contribute to keeeping temperature rises below 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels. Tens of thousands of her generational peers worldwide have since joined the movement to echo Greta’s messages, as people step up pressure on those they elected to take action.

Greta has been speaking to global leaders gathered at COP24 in Katowice this week with a clarity and honesty often lacking in the corridors of power. The truth is global emissions are rising, and there will be cataclysmic consequences if leaders fail to meet the 1.5 °C target.
Climate leaders don’t just talk. They act. Join us!! Global climate strike 14 December. Spread the word!! – Greta tweeted
You can join the day of action by standing outside your parliament, or local government office tomorrow – for whatever time you can give – and say to those inside ‘we’ve all had enough’ of snail-like responses to the biggest crisis facing humanity. It is time to act, and act now.
