Climate activist Greta Thunberg has inspired people across the planet to join her today.
With global emissions rising and disasters set to follow failure to keep temperature rises below 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels. The Swedish student stood outside the Swedish Parliament earlier this year with the sign: Skolstrejk för klimatet (school strike for the climate) and as COP24 concludes in Katowice, others re standing outside their parliaments, or local government offices, today to say to their elected leaders they must take effective climate action now.
