Interconnectedness is in our nature

Patrick Holden is my guest today on Inside Ideas. The Founding Director and Chief Executive of the Sustainable Food Trust (SFT), Patrick is passionate about the application of Nature’s principles of Harmony to food and farming, which is explored in the SFT’s latest initiative, The Harmony Project.

A trailblazer in advancing sustainable agriculture practices for half a century, Patrick – Patron of the UK Biodynamic Association – was awarded the CBE for services to organic farming in 2005. It was recognition of decades of pioneering work. As the founding chairman of British Organic Farmers, and for his time at the Soil Association, where he worked for nearly 20 years – at a time when the organisation was spearheading the development of organic standards and bolstering the market for organic foods.

His advocacy for a major global transition to more sustainable food systems sees him regularly asked to appear on tv – and speak at events – worldwide. So I am delighted to welcome Patrick as my latest guest on Inside Ideas.
