Pioneers build momentum for change

The 15 winners of this year’s Momentum for Change award title have been announced in New York.

Led by the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, the platform rewards ‘innovative, scalable and replicable’ examples of innovation that can combat climate change, from businesses, governments, organisations, communities and cities.

“These activities shine a light on scalable climate action around the world,” said Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of UN Climate Change. “They are proof that climate action isn’t only possible, it’s innovative, it’s exciting and it makes a difference.”

The 15 projects all come under one of Momentum for Change’s four focus areas: Planetary HealthClimate Neutral NowWomen for Results, and Financing for Climate Friendly InvestmentRead about all 15. All of them  will be showcased at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Katowice, Poland (2-14 December 2018).
