‘Innovating for change’

Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change is the theme of today’s #InternationalWomensDay – and it is a call to action that UN Women wants the world to respond to.

“At a time when innovation is dominant, shaping and changing the way people live in every part of the world, we have to be intentional about its use to positively impact the lives of women and girls. That means making sure they are not only consumers of innovation, but take their place as innovators,” said Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, in a statement released for #InternationalWomensDay

Use #WomensDay on social media, be part of the movement for positive change, and help deliver UN Global Goal 5 by 2030, to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
