‘Innovate or die’

(USA)

The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) is an international body for female innovators who have successfully moved beyond the startup stage.

For two decades it has brought together women pioneers spearheading multimillion-dollar businesses to continue that journey of success.

“In 1955 there were 500 corporations on the Fortune list. Today only 61 of those companies still exist. Typically, the only time an organisation changes is when it’s backed into a corner. The old adage ‘Innovate or Die’ still applies. Don’t be one of these unfortunate enterprises left by the side of the road. Disruptive thinking has revolutionised the business landscape,” said Dr Marsha Firestone, WPO President and Founder.

This week at its annual conference in Los Angeles the discussion turns to Disruption and the Future of Business. And the event, from 2-4 May, has a top lineup of speakers, including Evelyn Miralles, business tech strategist and principal engineer, NASA Johnson Space Center; and University of Oxford, Saïd Business School lecturer, Rachel Botsman.
