Edinburgh will host Scotland’s digital tourism conference next Friday (20 November) which will look at how businesses can better engage with visitors.

People working in the sector will listen to presentations from Scottish and international experts on the role innovation and technology has to play in improving their offering in an extremely competitive global market place.

Scottish Enterprise will lead the event programme supported by VisitScotland, the Scottish government and Skills Development Scotland among others.

The overarching goal is to attract more visitors to Scotland by encouraging businesses to embrace digital marketing tools, products and services. With tourists expecting a far different package from providers than they did 10 years ago the challenge is very much on for those who want to attract customers.

The event will be held between 9am and 4.30pm at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
