Young generation shifts climate needle

Youth Day

Youth Engagement for Global Action is the theme of today’s International Youth Day.

And it is a theme they have created themselves, because young people are engaged like never before. They are transforming our world for the better in so many impactful ways. By leading the fight against climate change, institutionalised racism, supporting communities cope with COVID-19 through their jobs and professions, and always looking at the bigger picture. Young people are ensuring the Global Goals stay at the top of the agenda and will become the leaders who take the world beyond 2030 towards a sustainable future that leaves no one behind. Because they are smart, active and driven to accelerate the transition.

The youngest member of the Innovators Magazine and OnePoint5Media community is already making a difference, while our Impact Comms Programme for under 25s has generated amazing content and kickstarted some fantastic initiatives. Young people are the human resource our planet has been crying out for, and are taking the actions that will ensure it survives and thrives.
