How can chefs contribute to SDGs?

Chefs from 38 countries have contributed to an action plan their peers can follow to reduce hunger globally.

The blueprint aims to make it easier for chefs to support United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) number 2 – to zero hunger. It is an initiative from the SDG2 Advocacy Hub and includes input from over 130 chefs worldwide.

One focus is the promotion of plant-based foods. The Manifesto calls on chefs to ‘champion plant-based proteins on [their] menus and restaurants” and do it creatively, by avoiding ‘words like vegan and vegetarian which may be off-putting’.
