Renewable energy was one of the big winners in the US midterm elections this week, according to the Sierra Club.
The new Democrat majority in the U.S. House of Representatives means it will have ‘more climate and clean energy champions than ever before next year’ and more Governors that support a switch to 100% clean power.
“In this post-midterm landscape, we’ll march ahead in our shift from fossil fuels to clean energy, in red and blue states alike,” blogged Mary Anne Hitt.
It will surely accelerate the numbers of cities committed to moving to 100% renewable energy; a number that already stands at nearly 100.
