Registration has been opened by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) for the 2016 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology.

The conference will be held between 17 and 20 April in San Diego, California, and Innovators magazine is delighted to be a media partner for this major global event for the industry.

“BIO is pleased to hold the world’s largest conference on industrial biotechnology again in one of the significant west coast hubs of the biotechnology industry, San Diego,” stated Brent Erickson, executive vice president, Industrial and Environmental at BIO. “Programming will explore biotechnology’s impact on the entire value chain for advanced biofuels, biobased products, renewable chemicals, synthetic biology, algae and biobased consumer products.  Attendees will get a first-hand look into how biotechnology is bringing about transformative solutions to societal problems and building a robust, sustainable bioeconomy.  And  business leaders will have a chance to use BIO’s new up graded business partnering system.”

BIO hosted around 1,200 attendees from 50 countries and 37 U.S. states at its 2015 World Congress in Montréal.
