The global search is on for startups with solutions that can build gender equality into the tech industry.
Now in its second year, the Hack_D_Gap global challenge is part of Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona, the world’s leading event for the mobile tech industry. It is run by MWC organisers, GSMA, through its Women4Tech programme, along with startup platform, 4YFN.
The 2018 instalment is being promoted as ‘one global challenge – two themes’ and is targeted at startups developing products and services that can support HR teams get it right when it comes to gender practices and recruitment; or innovations that can provide ‘learning, coaching and mentoring solutions’ to individuals and teams to better facilitate the growth of ‘gender-balance’ leadership structures.
Finalists will be given an exhibition booth and the opportunity to pitch to investors, with the winner receiving additional branding and networking support.
The submission deadline for the Hack_D_Gap is 10 December, with the finale being held on 27 February at MWC Barcelona, which runs from 26 February to 1 March.
