Instead of drones or robots, JoyRun – which started in Silicon Valley – encourages people to help each other out while making a few dollars at the same time.
Available around the clock, it is popular on campuses across the states where students can simply tap into a network of peers happy to pick up and drop off their favourite takeaway.
It has a strong social aspect with people chatting (below) with their fellow students when placing an order.
