African and Asian startups developing products that can support the sharing economy can apply to join an exciting innovation accelerator.
The Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund (round 2), from GSMA, wants to hear from pioneering young companies that are harnessing mobile technology to make a positive socio-economic impact in African or Asian communities. Successful startups will be able to access funding of up to a quarter of a million pounds – as a well as receive expert mentoring.
As well as the sharing economy, GSMA also wants startups developing services for SMEs to apply. This GSMA blog talks about the types of companies selected in the first round. The closing date for applications for this latest round is 16 July.
