Towards zero hunger – partnerships for impact is the theme of a global conference being held this year to mark the 100th anniversary of a Dutch university.
We reported earlier this year that the Wageningen University & Research institution was using its centenary as an opportunity to advance discussions around the UN Sustainable Development Goals – with a focus on number 2, zero hunger.
A Foodathon will be part of the programme: a ’36-hours event in which students and young professionals create local solutions for global challenges related to the theme Food Systems. Through it, participants exchange knowledge, share experiences and work interactively with SDG2′, the UN-backed SDSN Youth initiative website states.
The conference is on 30 and 31 August.
