Driverless bus service to launch in Japan

(JAPAN)

A driverless bus service will launch in Japan next month.

Pioneering Tokyo-based firm DeNa has teamed up with French company, EasyMile, who manufacture the busses, to deliver a service capable of taking up to 12 passengers at a time.

EasyMile’s website states: “The driverless bus service, called the Robot Shuttle, will employ EasyMile’s EZ10 driverless shuttle. The service will begin in August inside the Toyosuna Park in Chiba’s Makuhari district.”
