Digital innovation challenge

AUSTRIA – Startups worldwide with ideas for advancing Responsible Consumption through Digitalisation should apply for the Josef Umdasch Research Prize.

Spearheaded though a partnership between worldwide award system, WSA, and Austrian industry giant Umdasch Group subsidiary: umdasch The Store Makers – the prize, an open call to ‘digital innovation enthusiasts’, is linked to UN SDG Goal no. 12 Responsible Consumption & Production. Nominees will get €5k to progress their ideas before pitching it at the WSA Global Congress in Vienna next March. Beyond that the winner will be given the chance to take forward their innovation with umdasch The Store Makers.

“umdasch thinks further. The question is how we can support the idea of a global economy in line with our entrepreneurial responsibility,”explained Silvio W. Kirchmair, CEO of umdasch The Store Makers. “Altogether we are still making far too little use of the opportunities which digitalisation offers us as a tool for greater efficiency in the way we handle resources. That is why this aspect of the question is very important for us.”

The deadline for submissions is November 10.
