With 815 million people starving today – and the global population growing rapidly – innovations are desperately needed to save lives.
One innovation making an impact is the ShareTheMeal app – backed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) – which has provided 24 million meals. Available in 10 languages, it accepts 30 currencies, and provides a meal for just US$0.50.
Congrats to the ShareTheMeal app on achieving this latest milestone – you can help them achieve many more and contribute to building a zero hunger future.
“This just in – 24 million meals have been shared to date by YOU! Thank you for your continued generosity in helping to ensure boys and girls around the world have access to nutrition,” @ShareTheMealorg tweeted.
