Happy fifth birthday to the Climate Technology Centre and Network.
The influential and impactful UNFCCC tech body exists to support countries harness tech to combat climate change.
“The Centre promotes the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries. We provide technology solutions, capacity building and advice on policy, legal and regulatory frameworks tailored to the needs of individual countries by harnessing the expertise of a global network of technology companies and institutions,” the CTCN website states.
It celebrates its fifth year this week at COP24 in Katowice, where our editor-at-large, Marc Buckley is producing coverage – supported by Médecins Sans Frontières. Congratulations to CTCN and good luck in your efforts at this pivotal moment in the fight to tackle climate change.
