‘The health impacts of climate change demand an urgent response, with unmitigated warming threatening to undermine health systems and core global health objectives’.

That is one of the key findings in a report from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), which translates to Doctors without Borders, an organisation I am sure many of you are aware of. It is a worldwide movement of more than 42,000 people that provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, and disasters.

This article was first published last year and is a timely reminder of the deadly relationship that exists between climate and health. It is vital leaders recognise the pressing need to tackle this ongoing crisis as a vaccine won’t provide a silver bullet here.
