The decisions made by businesses of all sizes will have a major bearing on the climate crisis.
The recent IPPC report said ‘far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society’ are needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C and avoid the droughts and devastation that will result from failure to meet that target.
Taking the Climate Neutral Now Pledge – spearheaded by the United Nations Climate Change – is one step that can be taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, through a process of measuring, reducing, and offsetting them. Buying UN-Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) – to fund projects in developing countries, offsets the unavoidable emissions.
“We all need to take personal responsibility to combat the threat of climate change. Join me in the Climate Neutral Now initiative to reduce the impact of climate change and offset carbon emissions. Help protect the ecosystems that sustain biodiversity and save the livelihoods of billions of people around the world,” said Edward Norton, a UN Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity.
